Job summary

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Minneapolis is seeking a Kitchen Leader to guide kitchen staff toward daily goals, ensure food safety, and maintain a productive, guest-focused environment.

You will collaborate with the Kitchen Manager and General Manager to control budget, oversee temperatures, order supplies, and uphold cleanliness and quality, especially during peak hours. Must be able to work irregular hours and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service taught through in-house training
• Must be able to communicate clearly

Responsibilities

• Works cooperatively with Kitchen Manager to ensure budget expenses are within limits and identify ways to improve operations
• Keeps General Manager/Kitchen Manager informed of problems and proposes solutions
• Maintains a clean and safe facility
• Monitors and oversees food temperatures during hot and cold handling to reduce risk factors
• Communicates clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
• Ensures clear communication with vendors providing restaurant equipment and supplies
• Completes walk-through and temperature checks in the kitchen
• Assists in ordering food, produce, liquor and restaurant supplies
• Assists in receiving deliveries and checks paperwork for items and stocking guidance
• Performs and can assist in all kitchen operations
