Job summary

Thirsty Turtle Seagrill in Delray Beach is seeking a cook to deliver high quality, great tasting food in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. You will ensure proper food safety and sanitation while managing quality from prep to plate, maintaining a positive, professional demeanor with coworkers and guests.

Responsibilities include following recipes, prepping ingredients, portioning and wrapping, stocking supplies, and coordinating orders for timely service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Food handler certification is required.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Prior hospitality/food service experience is helpful.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipe and presentation guidelines to prepare high quality food.
• Prepare ingredients and stations used in cooking.
• Cut cheese, meat, poultry, and seafood for cooking.
• Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables.
• Adhere to prep lists and coordinate orders for timely delivery.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Inform management of equipment issues or low supplies.
• Stock kitchen supplies and keep areas clean.
• Complete assigned sidework and assist others as needed.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
