Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a cook to prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes for residents with special dietary needs. You will supervise dietary staff when the Dining Services Director is unavailable and ensure safe, efficient kitchen operations.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining cleanliness, recording temperatures, and assisting with training. A flexible schedule, pay range of $18.40–$18.95 per hour, and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Must be Serv-Safe certified, or willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must possess ability to read, write, and make simple calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and workplace safety.
• Monitor temperatures and food safety throughout service.
• Assist in training new dietary employees and supervise staff as needed.
• Attend in-services and staff meetings; follow dietary requests and resident diets.
