Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a dedicated procurement specialist to manage food and beverage purchasing for the Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center. You will work closely with Chefs and buyers to ensure timely orders, quality products, and cost-effective sourcing.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in F&B procurement, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with purchasing systems. This is an on-site position located in Westlake, TX with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Two years of food and beverage procurement experience required.
• Solid knowledge of F&B purchasing processes and inventory control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; PowerPoint/Word/Teams/OneNote desirable.
• Cookery/culinary background preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Procure all food and beverage items in the kitchen in a cost-effective way.
• Communicate purchases with Chefs and food buyers in a timely manner.
• Support inventory control and rotation of stock.
• Maintain pricing updates and ensure product quality and safety.

What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do

BASIC FUNCTION:

• Status: Full-Time
• Availability: 1st shift
• Pay Rate: $22 per hour
• Location: Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center

Essential Functions

• Work with Chefs and food buyers on pricing, ordering & delivery terms in a cost-effective manner.
• Orders all items in procurement system & communicates purchases with Chefs and food buyers in a timely manner.
• Support Chefs in operations of order control and inventory rotation.
• Receives and stocks all products in the kitchen. Ensures quality of product.
• Make menu suggestion to chef based on death stock and extra inventory.
• Conduct and organize monthly inventory of all on-hand food items.
• Update pricing on inventory spreadsheet every quarter.
• Keep all kitchen freezers and walk-ins organized and clean.
• Maintain pars of all food items, inputting orders as required.
• Ensure that all food safety standards are up-to-date and enforced within the kitchen.

What are we looking for?

Qualifcations

• Two years food and beverage materials receiving, or food buying experience required.
• Strong general food knowledge.
• Culinary internship, apprenticeship or degree preferred.
• Good computer skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Teams and OneNote desirable.
• Experience working with purchasing req system desired.
• Basic Food Safety certification required within 30 days of starting position required.
