Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center in Westlake, TX is seeking a Full-Time Banquet Captain/Server to oversee banquet events and ensure flawless service. The role requires evening shifts and some weekends, with a pay of $22.00 per hour (flat rate, no tips).

Responsibilities include reviewing BEOs, coordinating setup, guiding staff, and ensuring client satisfaction. Experience in hospitality with F&B banquet exposure is preferred, and certifications within 30

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality required, with F&B banquet experience desirable.
• Experience as a departmental trainer or supervisor preferred.
• Strong computer skills; proficient in Excel and Outlook; Teams/OneNote a plus.
• Knowledge of F&B POS system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review all BEO prior to events to ensure adequate staffing, supplies, and setup.
• Oversee banquet events including pre-event cleaning, arranging drink stations, and setup.
• Ensure event room setup complies with the BEO.
• Conduct staff pre-event meetings to communicate plan and service standards.
• Monitor events to ensure flawless service and assist servers and bartenders as needed.
• Be responsive to client needs during events and accommodate changes.
• Oversee post-event breakdown and proper storage of supplies.
• Provide feedback to staff and train on standards and tasks.

What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do

BASIC FUNCTION:

• Status: Full Time
• Availability: Evening Shift and some weekends
• Pay: $22.00 per hour, flat rate (no tips)
• Location: Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center

Essential Functions

• Review all BEO (banquet event orders) prior to the event to ensure we are prepared with staffing, supplies, dishware and drinks.
• Oversee banquet events to include pre-work of cleaning, polishing, organizing, and setting up drink stations.
• Ensure banquet event room is set up to the standards of the BEO (banquet event order).
• Conduct staff pre-event meetings to communicate the plan and service standards for the event.
• Monitor each event to ensure service is flawless. Assist Servers and Bartenders as needed.
• Be aware of the client’s needs during the event. Be available for the client for changes that may occur during the event.
• Oversee the breakdown of the event to ensure it closes on time and all supplies is put in appropriate areas including food, beverages, linen, supplies, dishware and more.
• Provide feedback to the staff for positive and not‑so‑positive actions that occurred during the event.
• Train staff on the standards and tasks that Servers and Bartenders are responsible for. Monitor Peer Trainer activities and spot check the new associates training.
• Recap events with BEO distribution to Meeting Planners or Clients, and complete end of shift Captains report.

• Knowledge of F&B Point of Sale system preferred.
• Basic Food Safety Certification and Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission Certification required within 30 days of starting and must be re‑certified as needed.
