Job summary

Ruby Tuesday is seeking an Expo/Kitchen Assistant in Bloomsburg, PA to ensure timely food preparation and accurate guest requests. You will support TueGo/Catering, dining room, and bar areas while maintaining quality and presentation standards.

The role requires 18+ years old, strong guest service, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment. No prior experience required, training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
• Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling and serving techniques and with federal, state and local serving regulations.
• Ability to operate a computer, phone and other office equipment.
• Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills.
• Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Kitchen Display System (KDS) to maintain the flow of service and prepare items to spec.
• Ensure high quality preparation and presentation of food items; confirm hot foods stay hot and cold foods stay cold.
• Organize table orders in the expo area according to tickets.
• Complete side work and station maintenance.
• Set up, keep clean, and organize the work area before, during, and after every shift.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Manage the preparation of re-cooks and allergen orders.
• Expedite service for TueGo, Catering, dining room, and bar areas.
• Maintain a gracious, friendly attitude and support a teamwork-based environment.
• Assist service team to create new and repeat business and avoid guest complaints.
• Other duties as assigned
