Job summary

Northstar Restaurant Group and Brassica is seeking a Kitchen Equipment Service Technician to help keep our commercial kitchen equipment safe, reliable and well-maintained across locations.

You will diagnose issues, install parts, perform preventive maintenance and learn electrical schematics to troubleshoot complex problems. Competitive benefits and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with interest in commercial kitchen equipment maintenance and repair.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to operate a company service vehicle.
• Ability to safely work around electrical equipment up to 480V, including three-phase up to 150A.
• Willingness to learn through hands-on experience, coaching and feedback.
• Ability to travel as needed with schedule flexibility outside standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment issues and identify correct parts for repair.
• Install replacement parts, test equipment, and safely return to service.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on commercial kitchen equipment.
• Learn equipment operating sequences, safety expectations, and wiring diagrams.
• Complete basic refrigeration training for cold-side equipment maintenance.
• Safely use hand tools, socket sets, wrenches, multimeters, cordless drills, grinders, jacks and MAP gas torches.
• Maintain communication with Lead Equipment Service Technician and restaurant leaders regarding maintenance needs.
• Study Commercial Food Equipment Service Association materials.
