Job summary

Northstar Restaurant Group + Brassica is seeking a Kitchen Equipment Service Technician to help keep our commercial kitchen equipment safe, reliable and well-maintained. You will diagnose issues, install parts and perform preventive maintenance across multiple locations, with a focus on safety and high-quality service.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, a valid driver's license, ability to travel as needed, and willingness to learn through hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with interest in commercial kitchen equipment maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record to operate service vehicle.
• Ability to work safely around electrical systems up to 480V and high-voltage components.
• Willingness to learn through hands-on experience and feedback.
• Ability to travel as needed and work outside standard hours.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment issues and identify parts required for repair.
• Install replacement parts, test equipment for proper operation, and safely return to service.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on commercial kitchen equipment.
• Study technical resources and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot problems.
• Coordinate with Lead Equipment Service Technician and restaurant leaders.
