Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Kitchen Operator/Batching Technician to follow production schedules, weigh ingredients, record batch data, monitor QC and report anomalies to supervisors.

You will work in the kitchen to clean and sanitize during changeovers, follow safety procedures, and support team goals for BEST practices. Basic math and English communication are required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the shift is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Basic math, reading, writing, and English communication.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow the production schedule and call for batches from the meat room as required.
• Weigh all ingredients and record weight before batching.
• Record lot numbers and supplier for each ingredient used.
• Kitchen operator acts as final QC check and must notify supervisor of any anomalies.
• Follow batch sheet guidelines and record batching information (gravy weight, water temp, additives).
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen during can size changeovers or when instructed by supervision.
• Follow rinse procedures for equipment and regulate drop temperature per batch sheet.
