Tartine Bakery is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. You will wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and cooking equipment, keeping the workstation clean and organized to ensure smooth service.

Responsibilities include operating dishwashing equipment, restocking, complying with health regulations, and assisting team members as needed. The role requires reliability, physical stamina, and a team-first attitude in a busy bakery environment.

Qualifikationen

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to communicate in English, with some Spanish.
• Strong team player with good oral communication.
• Well-groomed, maintain hygiene and proper uniform.
• Able to stand for long periods (8 hours) and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Available to work at least 40 hours per week, including weekends/holidays.
• Adhere to Tartine's ethical and professional standards.

Aufgaben

• Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Operate dish machines and three-compartment sink properly.
• Follow Health Department regulations for dishwashing.
• Restock dishes and small wares on the line and throughout the restaurant.
• Restock hand wash sinks with soap and paper towels.
• Clean floors, walk-ins, bathrooms, and prep stations regularly.
• Notify managers when cleaning products or equipment are low or malfunction.
• Work efficiently to prevent dish-area pileups and maintain flow.
• Assist other team members as needed and communicate respectfully.
• Support simple prep tasks and help with overall kitchen cleanliness.
