Job summary

Carl D Perkins Job Corps Center is seeking a dedicated Food Services Assistant to support cooks and the Food Services Manager in preparing, serving, and sanitizing the dining facility. You will help maintain a clean, safe kitchen and dining area, participate in restocking and occasional food prep tasks, and uphold all safety standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and prior food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience preferred.
• Experience in food service is strongly preferred.
• Must follow safety and sanitation rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and Food Services Manager in meal prep, service, and sanitation.
• Set up and breakdown serving lines.
• Keep dining and kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Restock items and notify staff when replenishment is needed.
• Assist with dishwashing and waste disposal.
• Follow all safety and sanitary regulations and center policies.
• Participate in required staff training and be prepared for miscellaneous duties.
