Job summary

Carl D Perkins Job Corps Center is seeking an experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee the cafeteria operations, ensuring nutritious meals and compliance with health standards. The role includes managing staff, budgeting, and coordinating meal services with learning activities.

The position requires a Bachelor's in a related field and prior food service management experience; NRA sanitation certification is preferred. Great benefits are offered with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Hotel, Restaurant, Institutional Management preferred or related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• NRA Food Service Sanitation or equivalent.
• Valid State Driver’s License; and one year management experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide overall supervision of the food service operation.
• Ensure three meals per day for students, with snacks on weekends/holidays.
• Plan meals on a 28-day cycle and align with work-based learning schedules.
• Ensure compliance with state/local food handling and sanitation standards.
• Develop procedures for ordering, purchasing, receiving, storing, and issuing food products.
• Maintain safety, health, and security of students, staff, and property.
• Manage budgets and ensure operation within budget.
