Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Kitchen Design & Sales Representative to identify sales opportunities, design and sell cabinetry, and assist homeowners and contractors with project details. You will visit job sites and use product knowledge to close deals.

The role demands knowledge of kitchen and bath cabinetry, the ability to read blueprints, strong communication, and a flexible schedule that includes weekends. Growth and customer relationships are prioritized.

Qualifications

• Design and sell to contractors and homeowners
• Knowledge of cabinetry, materials, finishes, detailing
• Proficient with 20/20 and Microsoft Office
• Ability to read blueprints
• Detail-oriented in fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays
• Strong math for quotes/discounts
• Excellent presentation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Sales & Relationship Building: Identifies target customers, increases and maintains market share; collects and maintains information on customers' product use and trends; services contractors by selling building materials and installed services; determines credit program; meets/exceeds sales and profit goals; ensures customer satisfaction with take-offs and scheduling/delivery commitments.
• Communication: Keeps lines of communication open between store team and customers to ensure service is accurate and timely.
• Knowledge & Training: Identifies growth needs and learning opportunities; completes orientation and safety training; commits to continued learning on products and procedures.
