Job summary

The Lismore Hotel Eau Claire - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and ECDC - Coffee House is hiring a Kitchen Crew-Prep Member to support breakfast and grab-and-go items. The role emphasizes accuracy, cleanliness, and safe food handling in a fast-paced cafe environment.

You will chop, slice, assemble items, stock supplies, and follow recipes and health department standards. Prior kitchen or food service experience is preferred, ServSafe is a plus, with dependable teamwork and attention to detail

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or restaurant preferred.
• Ability to follow established recipes and portion standards.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast items, sandwiches, baked goods, and ingredients for daily cafe operations.
• Chop, slice, and wash fruits, vegetables, and meats; make grab-and-go items or stock display cases.
• Bake or finish pastries, cookies, and breakfast goods; mix dressings and house-made syrups or sauces.
• Track ingredient levels, unpack deliveries, rotate stock using FIFO methods.
• Clean and sanitize counters, cutting boards, and equipment; wash dishes and log temperatures.

Compensation

$14 per hour

Qualifications

• Previous food service, kitchen, café, or restaurant experience preferred
• Ability to prepare food according to established recipes and portion standards
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stock, rotate, and properly store food and kitchen supplies
• Ability to follow food safety, health department, hotel, and ECDC standards
• ServSafe certification preferred, but not required
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• The coffee shop food prep worker prepares breakfast items, sandwiches, baked goods, and ingredients. They keep the kitchen clean, stock supplies, and follow food safety rules to support daily cafe operations.
• Food Preparation: Chop, slice, and wash fruits, vegetables, and meats for daily use. Make grab-and-go items, breakfast sandwiches, and paninis to order or stock display cases
• Baking & Assembly: Bake or finish pastries, cookies, and breakfast goods. Mix dressings, spreads, and house-made syrups or sauces
• Inventory & Stocking: Track ingredient levels, unpack deliveries, and rotate stock using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methods. Stock the service counter and cold display units
• Sanitation & Safety: Clean and sanitize counters, cutting boards, and equipment. Wash dishes, empty trash bins, and log refrigerator temperatures
