Ono Hawaiian BBQ in Castro Valley is seeking motivated Kitchen Crew members to support the back of house operations. You will assist with food preparation, portion control, and timely order fulfillment while maintaining health and safety standards.

This hourly role offers $20.00 per hour, with options for part-time or full-time work in a fast-paced team environment and opportunities to learn culinary basics and customer service in a welcoming setting.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Card required by state or local health department.
• Basic math skills and basic English written/verbal communication required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with health codes and safety procedures.
• Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Understand and comply with Kitchen Crew Training Guideline.
• Perform food preparation, stocking of inventory, food quality and portion control at the cookline.
• Prepare multiple food orders at the cookline and ensure timely service to customers.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store with daily/weekly cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
