The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is looking for a Kitchen Coordinator in Madison, Indiana. This role focuses on menu planning, meal preparation, and supervising kitchen volunteers to maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma and food preparation experience, along with a valid driver's license and ServSafe certification. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community through food services.
Salary Range Starting at: $12.50 per hour
As the Kitchen Coordinator you will be responsible for menu planning, meal preparation, supervision of kitchen volunteers, kitchen operations, and equipment. Maintain health and sanitation standards within the kitchen, food and kitchen storage areas, and dining areas. Maintain all required records and reports such as inventory and meals served statistics to ensure that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Background Checks: This position will require a background check to be completed and all background check results will be reviewed.
Experience: Training in food preparation and/or food service management with demonstrable computer, record keeping, and communication skills is highly preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
Supervisory responsibility of kitchen volunteers and community service workers.
Some travel may be required if food pick up is needed.
Work is performed in a typical institutional food services environment.
