Job summary

Church’s Chicken in Phenix City, AL is seeking a dedicated fry cook to support daily kitchen operations. You will set up the batter table, cook and prepare food to specification, and maintain safety and sanitation standards.

You will monitor fryers, balance shortening levels, complete call sheets, and work under the direction of the Manager in Charge of the Shift to ensure timely, quality service.

Responsibilities

• Set up the batter table, collect all necessary smallwares, and prepares batter mix.
• Ensures call sheets are complete, posted and used.
• Checks all equipment and reports malfunctions to the Manager in Charge.
• Color balances fryers and maintains shortening levels.
• Filters and cleans fryers following safety guidelines.
• Pans sufficient chicken for operational needs.
• Prepares and cooks all food products as directed by the Manager in Charge.
• Ensures all food meets specifications and holding times per the SOM.
• Maintains a clean work area using clean-as-you-go practices and sanitation guidelines.
• Verifies product and supplies are stocked at the batter area.
• Maintains organization of the cooler.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Manager in Charge of Shift.
