Job summary

Plaza Hotel & Casino LLC is seeking a Kitchen Worker to maintain sanitation and cleanliness in kitchen areas and equipment. responsibilities include washing dishes, mopping floors, disposing of garbage, and assisting in food preparation as needed.

You will follow all standards and policies, keep records of cleaned equipment, and report issues to supervision. The role requires English communication and a professional appearance in a busy resort setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to set up a 3-compartment sink.
• Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled utensils & containers and wash in the three-sink compartments.
• Remove washed utensils & containers from the sinks and stack them according to size and likeness for future use.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors; scrub walls and trash cans.
• Dismantle stoves, ovens, and grills daily; clean ventilation units and relight as required.
• Clean vegetables and keep the line stocked when needed.
• Maintain a written record of all equipment cleaned and/or needing attention.
• Keep storeroom clean and organize items on proper shelves.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness; fill ice bins and assist with equipment cleaning.
• Attend training and report unusual events or guest concerns to supervisor.
• Adhere to service standards and safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
