Job summary

Hershey Social Restaurant + Bar in downtown Hershey is seeking an enthusiastic Part-Time Team Member to join the opening restaurant crew. Help maintain sanitation, assist with food prep, and ensure a clean, safe dining environment near Cocoa and Chocolate Avenue.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment.
• Assisting food preparation whenever needed.
• Cleaning and storing all utensils, pots, pans, and related items.
• Cleaning kitchen surfaces and maintaining dishwashing areas.
• Cleaning out the dish machine after every meal.
• Stocking service areas with glassware, silver, and china.
• Keeping the garbage area clean and hood areas tidy.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Be part of the opening team at Hershey Social Restaurant + Bar, downtown Hershey’s newest restaurant and bar. Located near the iconic intersection of Cocoa and Chocolate Avenue, Hershey Social features bold flavors, signature cocktails, and over-the-top desserts inspired by Hershey’s chocolate roots.

Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment, including cleaning of food service kitchens, storeroom, and locker areas.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment, including cleaning of food service kitchens, storeroom and locker areas*
• Assisting food preparation whenever needed
• Cleaning, washing, and storing all eating and drinking utensils, pots, pans, and other related items*
• Cleaning all kitchen surfaces (floors, walls, ceiling, etc.); maintaining clean dishwasher and dishwashing areas*
• Cleaning out the dish machine after every meal*
• Stocking all service areas within the kitchen with glassware, silver, china, etc.; emptying and scrubbing garbage containers when necessary
• Keeping the garbage compactor area clean and neat; cleaning hood areas and screens about cooking areas*
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years of age

Job Demands:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Physical requirements include considerable walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Must be comfortable working in extreme temperatures
• Proper footwear must be provided by employee
