Job summary

DCM Inc. is hiring a Kitchen Associate to support the infused product production line in a fast-growing cannabis facility in Washington, DC. You will assist with dosing, dispensing, packaging, and quality control across topical and edible products.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, team players, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding strict HR policies and confidentiality. 21+ with a background check and HS/GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
• High School degree/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate candy packaging, depositor, and capsule bottler machines.
• Prepare ingredients for topical and edible products.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist with quality control and packaging of infused products.
• Dispense topicals into containers and capsules as needed.
• Perform hand packaging and sealing of products.
• Adhere to food safety standards and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The shift for this role is Monday thru Friday 6AM - 2:30PM

Kitchen Associate

Our Kitchen Associate is primarily responsible for assisting with all steps of the infused product production process including, dosing, dispensing, packaging and quality control.

Your role in caring for our products:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Operating machinery including candy packaging, candy depositor, and capsule bottler machine
• Prepping ingredients required for topical and edible products
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Cleaning, organizing, Quality Control
• Dispensing topicals into appropriate containers
• Dispensing product into capsules using pipette
• Hand packaging and sealing of infused products
• Maintaining food safety standards
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications we ask you to have:

• For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
• You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
• High School degree/GED preferred.

• This role will ask that you sit, walk, bend, and reach throughout your entire shift. There may be days where you stand the entire day, sit the entire day, etc. Please be flexible as needs will change.
• This role is similar to an assembly line in that it will be completing repetitive tasks throughout the day.
• You will be asked to carry loads of up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
• This position requires arm extending, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects such as leaves.
• As this is a cannabis growing facility, there will be strong odors, bright lights, and various noises throughout the workday.
• Employees are asked to wear scrubs, masks, gloves, and hairnets while working with the plants. DCM will provide scrubs, gloves, and hair nets to all employees.
