Job summary

National Star Services in Des Plaines, IL is seeking Kitchen Helpers to assist chefs with food preparation, fruit cutting, and plating for airline catering served daily to hundreds of international guests. The role is full-time with 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM shifts, Monday through Sunday (two days off).

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour, bi-weekly pay. You must have two valid forms of ID, be bilingual (English and Spanish), wear slip‑resistant shoes, have reliable transportation, and be ready to start

Job description

National Star Services is a 28-year-old facility management company providing different services all nationwide and we are now in search of Kitchen Helpers for our location in Des Plaines, IL 60018.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Be part of a team, creating high-end products served daily to hundreds of international airline guests!
• Assist chefs and cooks with different tasks in the kitchen: food preparation, cutting fruits and vegetables, preparing small dishes, food platting and setting up airline catering trays.
• Read, understand and follow menu specifications.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and tidy.
• Comply with hygiene, quality and safety standards at all times.

Schedule:

Monday – Sunday (2 days off in between, weekly schedule will be provided by supervisor)

10:00 AM. to 7:30 PM.

Starting Hourly Pay:

$17.50/hr. (Bi-WEEKLY PAY)

Requirements:

• Must have two updated valid forms of IDs.
• Be Bilingual. (Speak English & Spanish)
• Need to have and wear Slip Resistant shoes at work.
• Have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
• Must be able to start working as soon as possible.
