Job summary

National Star Services is seeking Kitchen Helpers for our Des Plaines, IL location. You will assist chefs in food prep, read menus, and help set up airline catering trays for daily service to guests.

Position requires bilingual English/Spanish, two forms of IDs, slip-resistant shoes, reliable transportation, and ability to start ASAP. Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with 10:00 AM–7:30 PM shifts and $17.50/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Two valid forms of IDs required.
• Slip resistant shoes must be worn at work.
• Reliable transportation to get to and from work.
• Must be able to start working as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a team, creating high-end products served daily to hundreds of international airline guests.
• Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, cutting fruits and vegetables, preparing small dishes, food plating and setting up airline catering trays.
• Read, understand and follow menu specifications.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and tidy.
• Comply with hygiene, quality and safety standards at all times.
