Honey & Rye in Minneapolis is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support daily production and maintain a clean, organized kitchen. You will assist with portioning, prep ingredients, and dishwashing, following safety procedures and kitchen leadership directions.

The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Starting wage is $16 per hour with typical benefits for full-time staff.

Formación

• Dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred.
• Interest in baking with a desire to develop in a production bakery.
• Attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality.
• Flexibility to fulfill multiple shifts.
• Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving a small delivery van.
• Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• physically capable of standing long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Kitchen Assistants are responsible for supporting kitchen staff in the execution of daily production and participating in the organization and maintenance of a clean and orderly kitchen.

REPORTS TO

DUTIES

• Support daily production accurately and efficiently, according to direction from kitchen leadership. This includes but is not limited to product portioning, scooping dough, and prepping ingredients.
• Perform ongoing dishwashing duties to support daily production.
• Complete assigned work within expected timeframes and communicate proactively when additional support is needed.
• Uphold a clean, organized, sanitary, and functional workspace throughout the shift.
• Contribute to daily cleaning tasks once assigned work is complete.
• Participate in the execution of daily, weekly and monthly tasks to support a clean, efficient, and functional kitchen.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage, and workplace safety procedures.
• Contribute to a productive and collaborative work environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Dishwashing or professional kitchen experience preferred
• Demonstrated interest in baking with a desire to develop in a production bakery environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality.

• Valid driver’s license & comfortable driving a small delivery van
• Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

COMPENSATION

Starting at $16
