Job summary

Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for the Elder Center in Mayetta, KS. You will help with cooking, meal prep, and delivering meals to Elders.

You will maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen, interact respectfully with staff and guests, and assist with Elder Center activities as needed. Must have a HS diploma or GED and up to six months of relevant experience. Position includes full-time benefits.

• Up to six months of applicable kitchen experience.

Responsibilities

• Aid in overall Elder Center kitchen functions, including cooking and meal preparation.
• Deliver meals to Elders' homes and maintain a clean, sanitary environment.
• Communicate respectfully with Elder Center staff and guests.
• Assist with Elder Center activities as requested.

Pay Range: $15.38 - $17.68

• Offering rate will vary within the listed hourly range above. *Supported by the Department budget & related experience/education*

Role:

The Kitchen Assistant will aid in the overall functions of the Elder Center kitchen such as assisting with cooking and meal preparation, delivering meals to Elders homes, along with maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. Must maintain a positive working relationship with Elder Center staff and guests by communicating in a respectful and helpful manner. Will assist with Elder Center activities, as requested.
