Job summary

Rose Bakery Los Angeles is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Café Manager in maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen and helping with inventory control.

You will assist with waste removal, ensure health and safety standards are followed, and help with meal prep tasks, cleaning duties, and proper storage of supplies.

This on-site role at Dover Street Market Los Angeles requires a team player with good communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleaning and sanitation of kitchen areas in accordance with safety standards.
• Assist with inventory control and storage of supplies.
• Assist with waste removal and garbage management.
• Aid in meal preparation tasks including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping.
• Transfer meal ingredients from storage to the kitchen as directed by the team.
• Maintain Barista station with supplies and support the drink menu daily.

Job Overview

At Rose Bakery, the Kitchen Assistant supports the Café Manager in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen. Responsibilities include assisting with inventory control, managing garbage removal, and ensuring that health and safety standards are consistently followed throughout the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation of food preparation areas in accordance with safety and hygiene standards.
• Properly storing and washing all cooking appliances, utensils, dishes, etc.
• Aiding in meal preparation tasks including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping.
• Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls.
• Organizing and correctly storing food supplies.
• Transferring meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as per the team’s instructions.
• Able to properly maintain Barista station with supplies and execute the drink menu daily.
