Job summary

Easterseals Blake Foundation is seeking a Foster Care Licensing Specialist to guide kinship families through the licensing process, conduct home studies, and ensure compliance with state requirements. The role emphasizes compassionate support for families, documentation accuracy, and timely submissions.

The position involves training providers, coordinating with state agencies, and visiting homes to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 1 year experience with kinship caregivers, foster families, or related services preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide kinship families through licensing by reviewing requirements, interviewing, collecting docs, and performing home studies for State of Arizona submission.
• Conduct initial and ongoing home inspections; support compliance with Life Safety requirements; identify waiver opportunities to expedite licensing.
• Maintain family files and ensure documentation meets contract and Chapter 6 requirements; submit licensing materials timely.
• Perform monthly then quarterly visits to monitor progress; support home visits as needed; ensure licensing timelines are met.
• Conduct amendments and renewals on licensed homes; perform licensing investigations as requested by OLR and DCS.
• Provide initial licensing and ongoing training to kinship providers; coordinate with DCS-referred families.
