StepStone Family & Youth Services, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks a compassionate Foster Care Licensing Specialist to recruit, educate, and support foster families. You will guide families through licensing, complete home studies, maintain compliance, and collaborate with treatment teams and community partners to promote placement stability.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed, strengths-based, family-centered practices, with travel to affiliate locations and participation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, childhood education, education counseling & psychology, or related human service field.
• 1–2 years in child placing, DFCS, or non-profit setting preferred.
• Experience in resource development, foster parent recruitment/retention preferred.
• Experience in marketing, fundraising, event coordination preferred.
• 1–5 years’ experience in full-cycle recruiting in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Tier 1 and Tier 2 State Assessor training and certification required.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate recruitment and awareness activities to recruit prospective foster/adoptive parents and build community relations.
• Develop proactive recruitment plans to certify qualified candidates and maintain a training pipeline.
• Respond to foster parent inquiries within 24 hours via phone.
• Support licensing processes including home studies, documentation, and compliance with regulations.
• Complete parent interviews, background clearances, and home inspections to assess suitability and safety.
• Maintain foster parent files in compliance with agency/state regulations.
• Assist in placement and matching of youth with foster families based on needs and training levels.
• Attend meetings and collaborate with referral sources and community partners.
