Job summary

Children's Home Society of North Carolina is seeking a Licensing Specialist to deliver licensing services for foster care and adoption, including therapeutic foster care support. The role includes outreach, recruitment, and program support to families in our service areas.

You will maintain records, participate in audits, and collaborate with staff to strengthen permanency options. The position requires meeting timelines, data entry into Echo/Binti, and travel within NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related human services required; MSW preferred.
• TIPS-MAPP/Deciding Together and state licensing training preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities for complex case records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assist families with licensing services for foster care/adoption.
• Complete licensing/relicensing requirements for adoptive and foster families.
• Meet with prospective families for orientation, licensing and relicensing.
• Enter data into Echo/Binti and submit reports by deadlines.
• Prepare families for placement through TIPS-MAPP/Deciding Together classes.
• Engage in outreach, media contacts, volunteers, and advocacy efforts.
• Collaborate with staff and participate in CQI processes.
