Job summary

A $3,000 hiring and retention bonus is available for eligible positions. The role reports to the Principal, follows board-approved salary schedules, and requires active participation in school programs and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and characteristics of the age group.
• Knowledge of the prescribed curriculum and state education standards.
• Knowledge of current educational research and best practices.
• Basic understanding of technology and its classroom use.
• Knowledge of learning styles and varied teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Uphold school rules and policies.
• Participate in school operations and committees.
• Abide by Code of Ethics for teachers.
• Follow state and local curriculum guides and materials approved by the district.
• Deliver instruction and manage classroom environment effectively.
• Maintain accurate records and evaluate student progress.
• Engage with students and parents beyond instructional hours.
• Collaborate with staff on activities, goals, and resources.
• Participate in extracurricular activities as agreed.
