Position Purpose

Under the supervision of the School Principal, facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills by implementing district-approved curriculum, documenting progress, addressing individual needs, creating a safe learning environment, and providing feedback to students, parents, and administration.

Essential Functions

• Develop and administer elementary curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Promote a safe, conducive classroom environment for instruction and student learning.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, and utilize time effectively.
• Assess student learning continuously and adapt instructional methods accordingly.
• Instruct students on responsible citizenship and other relevant subjects.
• Engage in professional development activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Encourage parental involvement and communicate effectively.
• Ensure student conduct aligns with school standards and policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in faculty activities.
• Select and manage instructional resources and supplies.
• Supervise students during activities outside the classroom and administer standardized tests.

Additional Duties

Perform other tasks as assigned by the Principal or central office administrators.

• Knowledge of current teaching methods, curriculum, and data analysis.

Qualifications
