Job summary

Samuel Staples Elementary School is seeking a dedicated paraeducator for a part-time long-term substitute role in a kindergarten classroom. You will support teachers, reinforce learning concepts, and help nurture early childhood development in a warm learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from the classroom teacher.
• Basic knowledge of child development and age-appropriate educational practices.
• Must pass a background check and any required health screenings.
• Flexible schedule with availability during school hours.
