Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; paraprofessional assessment or 48 college credits may be required for Title I-funded schools.
• Preferred experience in educational/instructional settings and willingness to learn instructional methods.
• Ability to work with teachers to support planned lessons and assess student progress.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with students individually or in small groups to reinforce subjects addressed by the teacher.
• Assists teachers in planning, implementing, and evaluating instructional lessons and materials.
• Organizes materials, learning stations, and displays; supervises students as needed.
• Leads group discussions or independent work and supports student engagement.
• Prepares instructional materials and assists with bulletin boards and exhibits.
• Observes students and records progress data for instructional staff.
