Job summary

DOUGLAS ESD RIDDLE SCHOOL DISTRICT in Riddle, Oregon, is seeking a full-time Elementary Instructional Assistant. This role covers 7 hours per day, 5 days a week, starting immediately to support kindergarten instruction.

The position assists teaching staff with group and one-on-one instructional tasks, maintains records, supervises students, and upholds confidentiality. Salary ranges from $17.28 to $19.63 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or one to two years' related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must meet current Federal Department of Education requirements.
• Prior successful experience working in a school setting or with children strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff by performing instructional tasks with students in large groups, small groups and one-on-one settings, record keeping, and supervision.
• Assist in monitoring classroom management and follow district discipline procedures.
• Perform clerical functions in student record keeping and maintain accurate files.
