Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Early Childhood Co-Teacher to support Prekindergarten through Grade 2 under the lead teacher. You will facilitate small-group learning, support Tier 1 instruction, and help foster a joyful, inclusive classroom.

This grant-funded role offers an hourly wage of $16.00–$23.00, with 12-month payout and benefits including family leave, tuition reimbursement, and mental health resources. You will spend 40+ hours weekly on site.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 48 college hours or a bachelor’s degree.
• 1+ year of experience working with children in a classroom or volunteer setting.
• Basic knowledge of early childhood development and instructional practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational development of students under the direction of classroom teachers.
• Assist with maintaining student records.
• Support Tier 1 core instruction under the direction of the lead teacher.
• Facilitate small-group instruction and intervention groups based on student data.
• Monitor student learning and provide feedback and support.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Implement a consistent behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and school-wide activities.
