Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Kilo Lab Scientist for the New Brunswick, NJ area to translate laboratory processes into safe, scalable manufacturing operations within the Kilo Lab and beyond.

Responsibilities include process design, scale-up, equipment setup, materials planning, safety readiness, recipe development, batch execution, and documentation, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and scale-up of chemical processes from the development laboratory into the New Brunswick Kilo Lab in support of clinical development and GMP active drug substance manufacturing.
• Work hands-on with chemists, engineers, analytical scientists, and other cross-functional partners to translate laboratory processes into safe, robust, and executable manufacturing operations.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute Kilo Lab manufacturing campaigns, including equipment selection and setup, raw material planning, process safety readiness, recipe preparation, batch execution, cleaning, and manufacturing documentation.
• Apply scientific and engineering principles to identify and resolve technical and operational challenges encountered during process scale-up and manufacturing.
• Review process safety information and translate identified process requirements and operating boundaries into appropriate manufacturing practices.
• Monitor and assess process performance during manufacturing and document observations, deviations, learnings, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure manufacturing activities are conducted in accordance with applicable safety, GMP, environmental, and procedural requirements.
