iApparel Brands LLC in the New York City metropolitan area is seeking an Assistant/Associate Designer to support the design team across outerwear, swimwear, rainwear, and accessories. This full-time, on-site role involves concept development, trend research, sketching, and preparing technical packages for presentation.

You will collaborate with senior designers, merchandising, and sourcing to ensure designs meet brand standards, cost targets, and production schedules.

Formación

• Sketching and creating technical flats for outerwear, swimwear and related categories.
• Garment construction, fabrics, trims and fit knowledge.
• Proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and MS Office or Google Workspace.
• Exposure to PLM software.
• Strong trend and market awareness for fashion trends and competitors.
• Organizational and time-management skills for multiple projects.
• Clear written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration.
• Attention to detail aligned with quality standards.
• Fashion Design degree or related education; internship or entry-level experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with concept development and trend/market research.
• Sketch, create technical flats and prepare presentation materials.
• Collaborate with senior designers, merchandising and sourcing to meet brand standards and production timelines.
• Organize samples and fabric libraries, maintain design archives.
• Participate in fittings and revisions to refine product details.
• Support the full product lifecycle from concept to delivery to customers.
