Job summary

A leading children's apparel company in New York is seeking an Assistant Designer. In this role, you will support the Design team in creating products that focus on quality and safety for children. Ideal candidates have a degree in Design, strong skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel, and 1-2 years of experience in fashion design, particularly children's apparel. This is a full-time, hybrid role, and competitive pay is offered.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in fashion apparel design, preferably in children’s apparel.
• Ability to take direction and establish effective work relationships across multiple levels.
• Ability to work under pressure amidst shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Research global markets for seasonal trends and competitive inspiration.
• Assist in developing concepts, materials, and design for products.
• Create tech packs and communicate vision behind fit and product design.
