Job summary

The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina Davie Family YMCA in Mocksville, NC is seeking a part-time Kids Zone Representative to supervise and lead activities for children aged 6 weeks to 11 years, mornings from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with a focus on safety and Christian-friendly programming.

Ideal candidates are at least 16, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and may have prior child-care experience. CPR training will be provided within 30 days.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age 16 with high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with children or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Must be a team player and maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead educational, age-appropriate and Christian-valued activities for children ages 6 weeks-11 years.
  • Maintain health, safety and cleanliness standards of Kids Zone.
  • Provide superior customer service to members and their children.
  • Implement assigned programming.
  • Maintain attendance records.
  • Provide care and supervision of children in Kids Zone with emphasis on safety.
  • Communicate appropriately with other staff members in a positive manner.
  • Attend staff meetings and complete trainings.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
