Job summary

YMCA of NorthWest North Carolina is seeking a part-time Kids Zone representative at the Stokes Family YMCA in King, NC 27021. The role focuses on supervising and leading activities for children ages 6 weeks through 11 years, while upholding health and safety standards.

The position requires at least 16 years of age, with a high school diploma preferred and CPR certification obtainable within 30 days of employment. Prior child-care experience is helpful; strong communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead educational, age-appropriate and Christian-valued activities for children ages 6 weeks-11 years.
• Maintain health, safety and cleanliness standards of Kids Zone.
• Provide superior customer service to members and their children.
• Implement assigned programming.
• Maintain accurate records relating to attendance.
• Provide care and supervision of children in Kids Zone with emphasis on overall safety and wellness.
• Communicate appropriately with other staff members in a positive manner.
• Attend staff meetings and complete all required trainings.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
