Job summary

Journey Church is seeking a Kids Coordinator to oversee the Journey Kids weekend experience for infants through pre-5th grade at the assigned campus. You will lead volunteer teams, ensure safety and age-appropriate engagement, and manage Welcome Room operations.

The role emphasizes building trust with families through clear communication, developing volunteers, and collaborating with Kids Team leadership on content and events.

Qualifications

• Multiple years’ experience in ministry or church vocational work is preferred.
• Experience in a multisite church.
• Experience in organizing multiple projects and events.
• Organized; flexible; able to Multitask.
• Exemplary oral & written skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion the Vision and Culture of Journey Kids.
• Lead and oversee the Kids Weekend Experience with safety and age-appropriate engagement.
• Lead and oversee the Welcome Room Teams and environment.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop volunteer leaders; facilitate onboarding and maintain workflows.
• Care for and shepherd volunteers through regular connections and communications.
• Manage environments: clean, restock, prep, and scheduling.
