Job summary

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe in Reno is seeking a Children’s Ski & Ride School Helper to assist with check-in, gear fitting, booting, and organizing lesson groups. You will provide on-snow and off-snow support to instructors and students, helping ensure safety, comfort, and fun for young participants.

This role emphasizes customer service, childcare, and a friendly, proactive attitude, with opportunities to transition into an Instructor role. Availability for holiday periods and 2+ days/week is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working with children.
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with skiing or snowboarding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist children with boots, gear, and lesson preparation.
• Support check-in, class organization, and transitions.
• Help instructors during lessons (on and off snow).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Coordinate and communicate with other departments as necessary.
• Observe safety standards and assist in general Ski & Ride School operations.
• Prepare children for lessons by helping put on boots and gear.
