Move Over Mozart in the Kirkland/Bellevue area is seeking an enthusiastic piano educator to teach small groups of children after school. You’ll guide young students through joyful, engaging lessons, building confidence and a love of music while following a clear curriculum.

Ideal candidates have real experience with early learners, have studied piano with a teacher, and enjoy coaching, feedback, and ongoing growth. A reliable ride and availability on weekday afternoons are important.

Qualifications

• Have real experience working with young children and enjoy helping them explore, create, and express themselves.
• Studied piano with a teacher and have a solid understanding of music theory and technique.
• Feel excited about the idea of teaching and have a natural desire to see others grow.
• Are open to learning, willing to be coached, and appreciate thoughtful feedback.
• Value patience, flexibility and connection in your approach to children.
• Are organized, dependable and comfortable working independently.
• Have your own transportation.
• Are available on weekday afternoons during after school hours.
• Live in or near Bellevue, Kirkland, or Redmond.
• Can commit to teaching for at least one year.

Responsibilities

• Teach small group piano classes for children.
• Plan each class using provided lesson outlines, objectives, and materials.
• Create an engaging, supportive environment where children enjoy learning.
• Work independently in the classroom, while being part of a team that shares ideas, celebrates progress, and supports one another.
• Represent Move Over Mozart with care, reliability and enthusiasm.
• Continue growing through training, mentorship and support from the studio.
