Job summary

Menchey School of Music in Westminster is seeking an enthusiastic piano instructor to join our team. You’ll teach private lessons, build strong relationships with students, and contribute to a welcoming, music-centered community.

We offer a structured studio with marketing support, scheduling and billing handled by staff, on-site Studio Coordinator, and opportunities to perform in recitals. A background in music education and a love for teaching all ages are essential.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of college-level music training or 5 years of teaching or professional performance experience, or an equivalent combination.
Bachelor’s degree in music education, performance, or related field preferred; candidates currently working toward a degree are encouraged to apply.
Experience with learners of all ages and skill levels is preferred.
Ability to successfully complete an initial background check, with recurring checks every three years.

Responsibilities

Teach engaging, private piano lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
Create a positive, encouraging lesson environment and tailor instruction to individual goals.
Help students grow musically, prepare for recitals, and participate in performance opportunities.
Communicate timely and professionally with students, parents, and staff.
Maintain accurate attendance and lesson records using the studio’s scheduling system.
Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and enthusiasm every day.
