Move Over Mozart in the Kirkland/Bellevue area is seeking an enthusiastic piano educator to teach small groups of children after school. You’ll guide young students through joyful, engaging lessons, building confidence and a love of music while following a clear curriculum.
Ideal candidates have real experience with early learners, have studied piano with a teacher, and enjoy coaching, feedback, and ongoing growth. A reliable ride and availability on weekday afternoons are important.
Spend your afternoons helping children explore, learn and grow through music. You’ll witness those quiet little breakthroughs: a new note discovered, a tricky rhythm finally mastered, a proud smile after a finished song, and you’ll know YOU helped make it happen.
Classes are small (maximum of 6 students) and full of energy, held at schools or community centers in your neighborhood. Students range from preschool through elementary age, grouped by age and ability. Every child in the room has signed up because they want to be there, and that makes all the difference. Lessons are joyful, interactive and thoughtfully paced to match each child’s growth.
The curriculum is organized and designed especially for young beginners. You’ll receive hands-on training on how to guide each age group, how to teach piano in a group setting, and how to plan fun, motivating lessons that keep children engaged and progressing. Training happens both in and out of the classroom, with continued support to help you grow, refine your teaching skills, and stay connected to a team of teachers that shares your goals.
Every child deserves to feel proud of their progress, not just a few who stand out. Recognizing those moments with joy inspires students to keep moving forward, building confidence and a love for music that lasts.
Every class blends joy with structure, helping children move forward with real musical growth while loving every moment.
When a child feels seen, supported, and encouraged, they thrive. Teachers bring their creativity, warmth, and musicality into every class, shaping lessons that students look forward to. With thoughtful training and continued support, teachers are empowered to build real rapport and make each moment meaningful.
