Job summary

Michaels is hiring for an Event Coordinator at our Huntsville East store. You will plan and run events including children’s parties, while helping customers find products and enjoy a fast, friendly checkout experience.

Role involves coordinating multiple events, teaching simple crafts, and suggesting add-ons like goody bags or balloons. Experience with kids’ events and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience planning events in a retail or service setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and coordinate activities for groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate in-store events such as children’s birthday parties and classes.
• Engage customers of all ages and assist with shopping and checkout.
• Enroll customers in Rewards, Private Label Credit Cards, and VOC surveys.
• Assist with omni-channel processes (BOPIS and Ship From Store).
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety during events and activities.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks: emails, calls, and paperwork as needed.
• Adapt events based on client feedback and prepare backup plans.
