Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an Event Coordinator for the Henderson, NV store to plan and execute in-store events and ensure a friendly customer experience. You will coordinate parties, assist customers, and support omnichannel processes while maintaining store standards.

The role requires experience in retail and event coordination, strong communication, and ability to work in a dynamic environment; benefits and scheduling align with Michaels’ store programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service in a retail environment.
• Experience working with children and children’s events.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to learn and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Assist customers and provide fast, friendly checkout experience.
• Support BOPIS and Ship From Store processes.
• Unloads trucks, stocks, and maintains planograms and store recovery standards.
• Create backup plans and address client feedback to ensure satisfaction.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
