Job summary

New Covenant Church seeks a Kids Ministry Director to lead and oversee children’s ministry for pre-k to fifth grade. You will design engaging, biblically centered programming and supervise volunteers alongside the Pastor of Family Ministries.

This role emphasizes safe, welcoming environments, effective family partnerships, and a proactive approach to growing ministries through new processes, trainings, and community outreach initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong personal faith and commitment to Christian faith and church beliefs.
• Experience working with children and/or in children’s ministry.
• Leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills with the ability to plan and execute programs.
• Ability to recruit, train, and motivate volunteers.
• Background check required and child safety training may be required or encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children’s Sunday School, mid-week programs, special events, and outreach activities.
• Coordinate and train volunteers to serve in children’s ministry alongside Family Pastor.
• Maintain safety procedures, policies, and background checks; ensure clean and welcoming environments.
• Engage families and communicate upcoming events and growth opportunities; collaborate with other church ministries.
