Job summary

Millwood Hospital, an UHS facility in Arlington, TX, is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) for the Kids Unit. The MHT provides continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and modeling under the direction of a Registered Nurse to patients ranging from preschool to geriatrics.

Shifts are on days (7a-3p) with orientation weeks. A high school diploma is required; CNA preferred. CPI and CPR certifications are required by position guidelines, with competitive benefits offered by UHS.

Qualifications

• CPR training required before independent patient assignment.
• CPI training completed before unit orientation.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety as part of the treatment team.
• Provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling.
• Work with patients from preschool to geriatrics depending on unit.
• Carry out duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
