Millwood Hospital in Arlington, TX is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) for the Adult-Gero unit. The MHT ensures patient safety and works as part of the treatment team under a Registered Nurse, providing continuous care and supervision for patients from preschool through geriatrics.

The evening shift is 3 PM to 11 PM. Qualifications include a High School Diploma; CNA preferred; CPI and CPR certifications required prior to assignment.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• Degree in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred.
• Two years of related psychiatric patient care experience preferred.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• CPI training and CPR certification required before unit orientation.

Mansioni

• Ensure patient safety as a Mental Health Technician and participate in the treatment team.
• Provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling for patients from preschool through geriatrics.
• Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with crisis prevention and restraining procedures as required.
