Job summary

Millwood Hospital in Arlington, TX, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Mental Health Technician to support patient safety and care on the Kids unit. The MHT provides continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

We expect a High School diploma (CNA preferred) and at least two years of related experience; CPI training and CPR certification are required prior to handling patient assignments.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent required; CNA preferred; related degrees preferred.
• Experience: 2 years of related psychiatric patient care preferred.
• Licensure: Valid driver's license in applicable state required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling.
• Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and participate in treatment activities.
• Engage patients across age groups as unit needs require.
